Contour Cycles is a chain of bike shops based in Hertfordshire. Christopher the owner approached FTD to help build an engaged audience for the shops on Facebook and give specific advice on their social media marketing. We devised a plan based on the concept that it was better to have 1000 committed fans that actually buy stuff than 10,000 fans who buy nothing.

With a very small Facebook Marketing budget we were able to create a marketing plan that revolved around the specialist brands that Contour sold. By carefully picking locations and specifically targeting relevant demographics we grew the fan base to over 1000 in 6 months. UK Bike Skills is one of the leading Mountain Bike coaching companies in Europe and it owes a lot of it’s success to the power of social media marketing. From the outset we knew that Facebook and Twitter would form a large part of the day to day marketing for the company.
